In northern Thailand the seasons are quite distinct,
due to its latitude and geography
although as with the rest of the globe, things
have been a little unusual. Between November and
May the weathertends to be dry, however this is
broken up into the periods November to February
and March to May. The last of these periods
has higher relative temperatures even lthough
the northeast monsoon does not directly effect
the northern area of Thailand, it can cause cooling
breezes from November to February.
The other season to the North of the country
is from May to November and is well recognised
by the southwest monsoon, during which rainfall
is at its heaviest. |
