Death Railway Museum
Opp. Kanchanburi War Cemetry

Death Railway Museum directions
An interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma "Death Railway".
The railway ran over 400 km from Ban Pong in Thailand to Thanbuyuzayat in Myanmar (Burma), and was ordered by the Imperial Japanese Army to be built by Allied prisoners of war and Asian labourers.
The Centre has been established to offer a fair, un-biased telling of the story of the Thailand-Burma Railway using modern, interactive tools and is the perfect compliment to the "harsh reality" exhibits at the JEATH War Museum.
The Centre is fully air-conditioned and offers the visitor an interactive, educational and moving experience of one of recent history's most horrific chapters!

The curator of the museum is Rod Beattie, an Australian whose passion for the history of the Thai-Burma Railway is unrivalled.

The museum opens daily at 9.00am and closes at 5.00pm. The Entry Fee is 60Th.Baht and 30Th.Baht for kids.
